This webinar starts with what we actually know about how young people are engaging with AI for emotional support, advice, and companionship. It then makes a grounded, evidence-informed case for why human connection matters more in this landscape, not less, and what that means practically for the adults who support them.

Speaker: John Mikton

John Mikton is currently the Digital Learning Facilitator at the International School of Geneva La Châtaigneraie, bringing 30 years of experience in education and media technology. He has worked in international schools across Africa, Asia, and Europe, holding leadership roles including IT Director, Director of eLearning, Head of Education and Media Technology, and Deputy Principal, with a focus on integrating digital fluency into education.
