Suspending Certainty - What Is It and Why Does It Matter in Schools?

August 26, 2026 @ 1:00-2:00PM UTC

In this webinar Jennifer will introduce attendees to one of her key skills needed from counselors as they support a healthy professional culture of learning in their schools - the ability to suspend certainty. It is one of the 5 facets from her book, Stretching Your Learning Edges: Growing (Up) at Work, What does it mean to stop and listen to others and not become defensive? How does one benefit self and others being curious and inquisitive and not judgemental and accusatory? Self-assessments, discussions and video will be used in this webinar - all to grow one’s understanding of how to model our ability to stretch us at our learning edges. (P.S. This is one idea Jennifer will talk about more deeply in March as a keynote speaker in Bangkok at the ISCA Conference.)
