Digital Dilemmas: Virtual Ethics and Best Practices for Counselors

November 12, 2025 @ 9:00-10:00AM UTC

Counseling in todays digital world requires sophistication, awareness, and appropriate resources. Counselors often have questions about where to store sensitive information, which platforms are the most private, and how to safeguard files virtually. For professionals working across borders or in international settings, the answers to these questions are often unclear or inconsistent. This workshop will demystify the essentials of digital ethics, equipping you with practical guidance on documentation, storage, telehealth platforms, and confidentiality—so you can uphold the highest ethical standards, no matter where you practice.

Speakers: Sarah Kwawu

Sarah Kwawu is a Licensed, Board Certified Creative Arts Therapist, and Family Therapist in training who has been practicing both locally and internationally for the past ten years. After starting her career in New York City, Sarah worked internationally in both West and North Africa in the United States Peace Corps, and in various International School and private settings.
